My love for stones began with my dad, grandpas, and uncles, all passionate rock enthusiasts. They taught me to see the beauty in every piece, as they collected, polished, and shared hundreds, if not thousands, of unique stones, transforming them into bolo ties, tie pins, pen holders, and wind chimes.

Growing up in Northern California, I watched as my two grandfathers and my dad built a stunning fireplace in our home, crafted from Wonderstone rock brought from my dad’s home state of Utah. They gathered those stones by hand, hauling them back in a U-Haul trailer behind their 1965 Mustang.

Our family travels were never complete without a stop to pick up a few rocks from each place we visited. Today, my parents’ yard is surrounded by those stones. Each one a reminder of love, laughter, and the memories we created together.

Though my dad, grandfathers, and uncles have all passed on, I have continued the tradition of collecting rocks everywhere I go. Their passion for the natural beauty of this earth continues to live within me.

Every piece I create carries that same love and reverence for nature’s minerals.
